The European Week for Waste Reduction is an initiative held around Europe to raise awareness on the reduction, reuse and recycling of waste, and is supported by the European Commission.

Throughout the week, the city’s network of facilities will be offering exchanges and workshops on compost, oil reuse and the production of sustainable products. Part of the Climate Plan, these actions strengthen the city’s commitment to the Zero Waste Plan and the Barcelona Zero Plastic Plan.

Inauguration on 22 November

The opening ceremony will be in the Sala Martí l’Humà at the Museu d’Història de Barcelona on 22 November, with a screening of the documentary Reendollats. El destí invisible de la nostra tecnologia followed by a round table with local experts about waste electronic appliances and electrical goods.

The ReparaTruck initiative, which promotes repair and the extension of the useful life of devices and appliances, will be in Plaça del Rei from 10 am to 1pm, where there will also be a screening of Reendollats. El destí invisible de la nostra tecnologia.
