The space will be located between the two halls with the most movement by congress-goers, connecting the Industry City section of the Mobile World Congress 2022  and the zone for the leading start-up fair 4 Years From Now.

Beat Barcelona will be offering a highly varied programme from 28 February to 3 March, combining the professional and business side of the congress with the chance to relax and enjoy some recreational activities. The section will be hosting lectures, activities, networking events and professional meetings from 12 noon to 6 pm, followed by after-work hours from 6 pm to 8 pm, where people can enjoy DJ sessions organised by the Sónar, Cruïlla Barcelona and MIRA Digital Arts Festival.

Beat Barcelona will provide spaces for Barcelona Activa, the Directorate for Promotion of the City, the Directorate for the Social and Solidarity Economy, the Municipal IT Institute, the Councillor’s Office for Creative Industries and Turisme de Barcelona. In parallel, Barcelona City Council will have a specific space of 140 square metres, acting as a meeting point and a space for promoting the city, with information on strategic programmes, economic development, backing for entrepreneurs, tech implementation, services geared towards attracting international talent and more.

Barcelona with you

The Mobile World Congress will be accompanied with the campaign Barcelona with you, which is in line with the strategy to position the Barcelona brand and highlighting the quality of a diverse city. The campaign shows how the city is an interface, generating networks and inviting talent from around the world, emphasising Barcelona as a city which contacts, connects, cooperates and shares. Messages and images highlight a Barcelona that embodies the historical textile industry, offers a Mediterranean landscape and is a hub for Europe’s tech sector.

The campaign will reach professionals from all over the world for MWC22, with digital supports at the airport, the main train and metro station and places in the city centre. It will also run in Madrid, in the iconic Plaza del Callao, on social media and in digital newspapers in the UK, Norway, Finland, Sweden, Belgium and Mexico.
