Residents in the Gòtic neighbourhood will be able to circulate in Via Laietana under the same conditions as residents from the neighbourhoods of Sant Pere, Santa Caterina i la Ribera and Barceloneta.
The ascending lane in Via Laietana is properly signposted indicating the prohibition except for authorised vehicles. After the summer a system with number plate-reading cameras will start operating, with fines eventually to be issued for infringements. Barcelona City Council is working on the communication campaign for natural and legal persons with authorised access, so that they can complete the relevant process to register their vehicles before the cameras start operating.
V15 bus also to return
After the summer the V15 bus service will also start using Via Laietana again, regaining its route from before the work. In addition to the V15, which operates between Barceloneta and Av. Tibidabo, the 47 service will also return, with Hospital del Mar as its destination, and the 120 neighbourhood bus, which goes up the street as far as Antoni Maura, offering more public transport options in the ascending direction.
In the descending direction in Via Laietana, besides the V15, the 47 and the 120, the V17 and the 59 also operate, the latter diverted due to the works in La Rambla.
