This is the fourth edition of an annual call created with the amendment to the regulation on honours and distinctions, which has so far recognised the work of 140 institutions and organisations from the city.

Applications must be made using the City Council’s e-headquarters and attaching a document that accredits the age of the organisation, for example its statutes or constitutional act, as well as justification of its historical role linked to the city. Once the applications have been assessed, the Full Council will approve the recognition before the end of the year and the distinctions will be given around the time of the festivities for Santa Eulàlia.

Of the 140 institutions and organisations recognised to date, 41 are of a cultural nature, 41 are linked to sport, 30 with science and education, 10 are professional groups, 10 are organisations devoted to social action and 8 are of a religious nature.
