City projects, activities and services devoted to the promotion of Catalan can apply for municipal subsidies from January 2026, as Barcelona City Council’s general subsidy call for 2026 includes a new series (line Ç) of subsidies in this sphere.

Specifically, line Ç will provide financial support for two types of projects, activities and services in the city with the goal of:

– Fostering interaction in Catalan through the creation of education and recreation spaces with the main goal of linguistic practice (line Ça)
– Creating digital content in Catalan in new formats (line Çb)

The application period is from 8 to 28 January 2026. The call is open to natural and legal persons and organisations, without the requisite of having a social base or delegation in the municipality of Barcelona, but with the obligation of the project being carried out in Barcelona.
