New loans for small companies and the self-employed
The B-Crèdits line of loans has a budget of four million euros to provide funding for up to a maximum of 160 microcompanies or self-employed workers to consolidate and scale up their businesses.
Requests can be made for loans of 25,000 euros at a fixed interest rate of 3% over five years, with a 12-month qualifying period, awarded by the ICF and endorsed by Avalis. Interested parties can request the loan through Barcelona Activa via the Business Support Office website.
B-Crèdits are promoted by Barcelona Activa, the City Council’s economic promotion agency, with the collaboration of the Catalan Finance Institute (ICF) and Avail de Catalunya.
Microcompanies and the self-employed currently make up 94.6% of the city’s economic fabric. Yet the size of these companies often makes it difficult for them to access funding and solutions that enable them to be competitive and tackle the challenges of the present context, such as going digital or adapting to new consumer models.
B-Credits complement the range of funding options that Barcelona Activa offers these collectives through the Business Support Office, where an expert team provides comprehensive support to resolve their needs.
