The third edition of La Febrerada is on Friday, 7 February. The benchmark meeting for the social and solidarity economy (SSE) in Barcelona gets under way at 9 am and concludes with a communal lunch in the same space at the Bloc4BCN (C/ Constitució, 19, Sants-Montjuïc, 08014 Barcelona).

The meeting is intended as a space for sharing challenges, discussing trends and making progress in the consolidation of the SSE in the city. It also seeks to give visibility to the SSE as a consolidated reality in Barcelona.

Parallel sessions in the morning will address key topics for the future of this sector:

  • Broadening reach without increasing budgets: Disruptive strategies bring the SSE closer.
  • Attracting talent to the SSE: Proposal for value and best practices.
  • Barcelona digitalisation map.
  • Journey to the future of the SSE: What role have we had in achieving the eco-social transition?

Following a mid-morning break, participants will be meeting in a full session devoted to leadership in the SSE and looking further at the leadership of organisations and management of the sector.

Participation in La Febrerada is free, but places should be booked in advance here.

Febrerada open to the city

In the evening, La Febrerada opens up to everybody with a night of monologues and concerts at Paral·lel 62. The session aims to bring the social and solidarity economy closer to a younger audience in an atmosphere of culture and leisure.

#ESSBCN2030 strategy

La Febrerada is part of the City Agreement for the Social and Solidarity Economy Strategy in Barcelona 2030, which represents the commitment among citizens and the City Council to the SSE. More than 280 organisations have now adhered.

The process is still open for companies, initiatives and organisations to join the strategy and formalise their participation in this mechanism for shared governance.
