Miquel Martí i Pol de Can Framis Gardens

C. Sancho de Àvila, 154

Author:
cabosanroque

Serres”, an installation created especially for the Miquel Martí i Pol Gardens, is a dialogue between a perpendicular reticle of light and a translucent topography in motion between artifice and nature, between being and representing.

A translucent mountain chain moves slowly among the vegetation as if it could perceive geological time, the mountains breathing and the crackle of the tectonic surfaces. The ridges follow a choreography organised by moons that beat in the mist. Some snowy peaks that function as a huge screen that illuminates the trees, a topography in motion made with different types of translucent material that paint all the whites of the snow.

cabosanroque

The sound artist duo Cabosanroque emerged from a large musical group put together in Barcelona in 2001. Straddling the limits of visual arts, performing arts and experimental music, their work focuses on the performative capacities of machinery, objects and sound. Since 2015, they have been resident artists at the Lluís Coromina Foundation in Banyoles.

Cabosanroque is made up of Laia Torrents (1976), graduate in Higher Industrial Engineering from UPC and holder of a degree in Composition, Harmony and Arrangements from Taller de Músics, and Roger Aixut (1975), graduate in Architecture from UPC. They are the authors of various shows and performing arts productions, including Dimonis (2019-2020), Gallos de pelea (2019), RRR (2018), and No em va fer Joan Brossa (2016), which have been performed in different European cities such as Tolosa, Berlin, Madrid and Glasgow.
