Exos explores the relationship between light and emptiness. The project is centred on a pointed sphere painted with a pigment that practically absorbs 100% of the light it receives. A sphere surrounded by a network of LED strips that emit light impulses in a circular motion. An illuminated object that gives off no reflections. The effect is strange. This unalterable, deep and complex nucleus cannot be understood with a mere gaze. It is a black hole with a kind of behaviour totally disconnected from the synergies that ought to be generated through interaction with light. This is a contemplative installation that also explores beauty in the relationship between the inside and outside of what we cannot see but wish to show. When it comes to a higher truth, which has the most weight, the inside or the outside? Aesthetics, which always define us, can also be an empty experience if we only look at it from a distance.

Oscila is an audiovisual design studio located in Barcelona, which takes light, in all its manifestations, and images as means of expression and communication, as a universal element that appeals to our primary emotions. Through immersive installations, set designs or projects, the studio tries to convey messages based on content beyond the limits of a screen's traditional two dimensions. Research and experimentation are its way of creating immersive and profound spaces of reflection, where visitors are at the centre of the message. Trained in the audiovisual world, its members have worked at festivals such as Loom and Primavera Sound, in collaboration with artists such as Halley, North State and Danny L Harle. They have also approached the world of dance with lighting designs for shows such as the María Jurado company’s Black Sun, and more personal projects such as Dixa, with the dancers Clara Torres and Esther Rorifika.
