Midway invites visitors to explore the sense of alienation between the slowness of nature and the city through the projection of real-time images of data and nature. An introspective and mediating game has been created to explore the unsettling feeling of being caught between two opposing dynamics: living between a rapidly changing urban environment and disobedient nature, between our creation and our origin. It almost seems as if we have lost touch not only with our surroundings but also with our point of departure. On the one hand, we feel increasingly disoriented in a world where everything moves too fast, overwhelmed by data and information exchanged everywhere at a rate that is becoming impossible to comprehend. On the other hand, we have strayed so far from our natural selves that we can no longer identify with our origins. That is, nature, which continues to evolve at its own pace.
