Fire, the primordial element that has fascinated humanity since our origins, is both destructive and creative, threatening and hypnotic. The installation presented by ETSALS in Poblenou is inspired by this ancestral duality. Poblenou is a neighbourhood that has risen up from the ashes of its industrial past, shifting from the abandonment of the 1980s to its current vibrancy.

On a stepped base built with wooden pallets, translucent tubes rise up that simulate the movement of flames through light animations. The vibrant lights scatter across the surfaces around them, creating a play of lights and shadows that envelop spectators.

The installation is more than just a visual exercise and becomes a collective ritual. In the constant flickering of the artificial flames, light connects us with the transformative power of community and reminds us that new forms of life and creation can always emerge from fire.
