Presentation of the book "Barcelona esgrafiada"
Books. A guide inviting us on a stroll to discover the markings tattooed onto city façades.
As part of the city’s Architecture Weeks, Barcelona Llibres presents Barcelona esgrafiada, a guide which invites us on a stroll to discover the outer shell of the city’s architecture and enjoy a heritage rich in detailed edges, figures, floral motifs, garlands, decorative sequences and even publicity, tattooed onto façades, evoking the singularity and elegance of all the buildings in the city. The book features QR codes to locate the buildings with markings.
Participating in the ceremony will be Maria Buhigas, Chief Architect with Barcelona City Council, Lluís Duran, author of the book, and Joan Casadevall, architect and director of Gabinet del Color, SL, accompanied by the journalist Carles Cols.

Barcelona esgrafiada és una guia que ens convida a fer una passejada per descobrir la pell de l’arquitectura i gaudir d’aquest ric patrimoni d’orles, figures, motius florals, garlandes, sanefes i, fins i tot, anuncis publicitaris tatuats a les façanes que evoquen la singularitat i l’elegància de tots els edificis de la ciutat. El llibre inclou codis QR per localitzar els edificis esgrafiats.
Hi participaran Maria Buhigas, arquitecta en cap de l’Ajuntament de Barcelona; Lluís Duran, autor del llibre, i Joan Casadevall, arquitecte i director del Gabinet del Color, SL, acompanyats per Carles Cols, periodista.
