Graduate in Biology from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB), Pere Navarro i Morera, was appointed Special State Delegate of the Consortium of the Barcelona Free Trade Zone by the Council of Ministers of the Government of Spain on June 29, 2018. Mr Navarro obtained this position of responsibility after a long career which highlights his experience as mayor of Terrassa 2002-2012, and as Member of the Catalonian Parliament (PSC) 2011-2014. As a member of parliament, he become the first secretary of the Socialist Party of Catalonia, President of the Socialist Parliamentary Group and member of the Directive Board of the Parliament.
