Paul Holthus has been advancing ocean business, finance and sustainability for 40+ years. In 2009, he launched the World Ocean Council (WOC) - the global Blue Economy Business and Investment Organization, a network of 35,000+ ocean industry/investment/innovation stakeholders bringing together shipping, fisheries, aquaculture, tourism, offshore energy, and other sectors. He organizes the annual global ocean business Sustainable Ocean Summit and the Global Blue Finance Summit. He has worked on ocean, coastal and island sustainable development , in 30+ countries - with UN agencies, companies, communities, industry groups, NGOs and foundations.
