The Sons de Nadal (Sounds of Christmas) concerts fill the city's ten districts with music

The Sons de Nadal concert series welcomes Christmas from 12 December to 4 January at various locations across the city's ten districts, at 12 noon and 6 pm. Local performers will fill squares and streets with jazz, indie, classical, folk, pop, funk, soul, rumba, opera and electronic music.

This year, there will also be special performances by various children's and youth choirs from Barcelona, coordinated by the Secretariat de Corals Infantils de Catalunya (Catalan Children's Choir Secretariat). Along with traditional carols, they will perform Un cor que batega (A Beating Heart), the Barcelona carol created especially for this year's celebrations.

The programme is supported by numerous organisations in the music sector, including festivals, professional associations and higher education institutions. This festive period, Terrats en Cultura, Say It Loud, Jazz I Am, L’Hora del Jazz, la Plataforma per a la Defensa de la Rumba Catalana, la Fundació Òpera Catalunya, la Fundació Victòria dels Àngels, el Conservatori Superior del Liceu, el Taller de Músics ESEM, Jam Session, l’ESMUC, la Casa de la Música de Barcelona, Fabra i Coats and el Festival B. are all taking part.

Check out the schedule and note down the performances closest to your home in your calendar. The streets, squares and public spaces in your neighbourhood will be transformed by the magic of this festive season.
