The boulevard of culture 

La Rambla is a space where culture can be found in all its forms: theatre, visual arts, photography, cinema, music, cuisine, etc. Not to mention events held by organisations, individuals, institutions, and communities linked to La Rambla, with citywide cultural, social, and community projects.

Culture and La Rambla go hand in hand; it's impossible to imagine one without the other. From major cultural venues such as the Gran Teatre del Liceu, the Centre d’Arts Santa Mònica, the Teatre Poliorama, or the Ateneu Barcelonès, to citywide or national events like Sant Jordi, the Festes del Roser, or the Tast a la Rambla, as well as the daily cultural activities that take place in the adjacent neighbourhoods.

In recent years the Àgores have been filling La Rambla with culture and activity. Storytelling, debates, radio, shows, concerts, etc. Hundreds of street-based cultural and community activities that have filled La Rambla with life. More than 10,000 people have visited the boulevard, experiencing it through activities related to the local culture and spirit of the community.

In the coming years, the cultural strategy will be adapted to the construction work going on, to further reinforce this major cultural hub, with local venues improving their offerings and promoting new and attractive options for the city's residents. More than ever, culture will be the essence of this boulevard, an ally in bringing people together to experience and see this unique and historic moment of transformation of La Rambla.
