Science and Innovation

The project aims to promote a new model of city, capable of mapping underused buildings and spaces, able to elaborate a reuse index and match these spaces with different temporary and mixed activities such as start-ups, accommodation, laboratories, etc. The proposal aims to address the challenge of improving the management of urban reuse and contribute to building a more sustainable and resilient city. The architectural study will focus on five late 19th century buildings in Ciutat Vella and, based on the analysis, it is planned to produce a legal guide for the reuse and temporary use of the five buildings, and to open the debate to the Barcelona public.
