March 14 is celebrated as International Day of Mathematics, and Barcelona adheres with a campaign aimed at all citizens to promote mathematics, committed to gender equality and social equity.
This year, an institutional event has been held on Thursday, March 13th at the Saló de Cent of Barcelona, with the talk “Why we need to celebrate mathematics?” by mathematician Meike Akveld.
The educational and cultural offer related to the dissemination of mathematics, with activities aimed at all ages, extends throughout the month to various cultural and educational institutions in the city.
