Repetitions, curves, and coincidences at La Capella
17/07/2025 - 11:00 h
The Capella venue hosts an exhibition by Milena Rossignoli and Espai Rampa, a proposal by Heidi Valda.
Titled “Repeat, Bend, Coincide,” artist Milena Rossignoli presents at La Capella from July 17 to September 28 an exhibition as part of the Barcelona Producció cycle, in which she explores the concepts of the title: repetition, curve, and coincidence, understood as falling twice at the same point.
This is one of the exhibitions in Barcelona Producció 2025, La Capella’s annual program dedicated to promoting and showcasing creations by artists living in Barcelona. Milena Rossignoli’s exhibition is accompanied by a second show at Espai Rampa called “Insania,” a proposal by Heidi Valda.
In the first exhibition, “Repeat, Bend, Coincide,” the artist starts from the idea of “knowing how to fall” and how the body often learns postures and ways of doing things even before the brain. All this happens in architectural spaces ranging from floors and windows to small columns. The exhibition is a creation by Milena Rossignoli, an artist born in Ecuador in 1990 who trained in Bologna, Berlin, and at the Massana School of Art and Design in Barcelona.
In the second exhibition, Heidi Valda, an artist with roots in Bolivia, presents “reasonlessness as the ultimate foundation of reason.” She does this through an interactive light and sound installation that focuses on “damaged, broken things, the mental state where the lines between reality and imagination do not exist.”
Indeed, the artist refers to that state we call “madness,” which she understands as “a magical act, a dreamlike journey, a connection between worldly carnality and the transcendence of consciousness.”
This is Heidi Valda’s proposal, a creator specialized in making light and interactive spaces both inside and outside the screen. She creates and produces works multidisciplinary, combining art and technology. You can see her works at Sónar+D, MUTEK.ES, or Poblenou Open Night.
If you don’t want to miss contemporary art creations by two emerging artists based in Barcelona, come to La Capella on Hospital street, but first check the website for full exhibition details.
