vAImpir: l’AI com a eina vampírica
vAImpir is applied research which, by means of free, downloadable, AI-trained models, encourages users to “vampirise” other images. As a complement and symbolic counterpoint to this digital environment, a unique publication/artefact has been published that covers the key aspects of this work. This short document, still scanned, is added to the project's axes to bring us closer to the AI of experiential and critical exploration.
The publication’s authors wanted to preserve the artefact’s identity and its analogue record, so each page has been scanned with a craftman’s care, defying the perfection that oozes from digital layout archives, with the aim of making the reading of this piece more like a visual experience.
vAimpir is applied research of digital environments developed by open-source, AI-trained models. It is an open process that plays critically with the biases inherent in automatic learning, and a way of experimenting in new creative spaces. An open exploration that tries to draw us closer to a dialogue between a human being and a machine, and which gives users an alternative point of view for using AI checkpoints.
