The band portrayed when sitting on a stone

Authenticity and universality in the themes of MAER

The band presents live at Paral-lel 62 their first EP, entitled Llunàtics ambulants (Travelling Lunatics).

Pop, folk and independent sounds are combined in the songs of MAER, a Catalan band that, quite simply, seeks to connect with everyone who listens to them. The secret of their music? Sounds and lyrics that breathe authenticity and describe universal feelings and situations that everyone can identify with. They have a new EP and will be premiering it live at Paral-lel 62 on 26th January. Don't miss it.

The Catalan group, made up of musicians Carlos Bonet, Xavier Joaquín, Anna Celma and Clara Manjón, has previously released singles such as El cim and Aquest matí. This year, 2024, they have released their first EP, of which songs such as Desenfocat, the first known track from the new work, have been released.

At the end of 2024, the band released Llunàtics ambulants, an album with five songs which, in addition to the aforementioned Desenfocat, includes other pop and folk samples, including El cim and Llunàtics ambulants.

The simplicity of pop and the complexity of acoustic sounds make up a personal and enchanting music with which the members of the band talk about everyday life and those contradictions that accompany them throughout their lives.

Real people, but also others of the imaginary, parade through songs that distil the essence and the intimate and suggestive spirit of singers from all over the world, combined with the creativity of pop and acoustic and folk sounds.

If you want to know what MAER's music sounds like, come and discover them at the concert they are offering on 26th January (it starts at 8 pm, but it's better to come at 7.30 pm, when the doors open, to make sure you get the best place) at the Sala Paral-lel 62. Before you come, check out the information about the concert on the website.
