This year sees the first edition of this multidisciplinary festival
Over the past few years the links between Italy and Barcelona have multiplied and proof of that idyll is the growing number of Italians settling in the city. That, in turn, has led to a blossoming of shops and restaurants and finally to the first ever Barcelona Italia Festival.
The festival will take place from the 15th to the 17th of April and will consist of a set of activities related to art, design, literature, food and wine, fashion, industry, music and, in summary, the culture that unites the two territories. The aim of the festival is to set up an event that integrates the Italian way of life in an interactive way in order to create opportunities for the exchange of culture and information and entertainment.
The festival is set to kick off on Friday April 15th at the Italian Institute (Pg. de Méndez Vigo, 5), with the presentation of the programme of events, a map of Italian activities in the city and a Spritz route. On Saturday 16th from 10am, Plaça de l'Acadèmia in the Born neighbourhood will host the main festival events with 12 hours of activities. Finally, on Sunday 17th, a number of itineraries will link up the hotspots for Italian culture in Barcelona. For further information, please consult the link below.
