La Biennal de Quartets a L’Auditori

Four days of chamber concerts to premiere the 2020/21 season of L’Auditori.

L’Auditori de Barcelona begins the new 2020/21 season with a premiere new project: the Barcelona String Quartet Biennale, four days of concerts with the best chamber quartets on the international scene. From September 17 to 20, there will be four concerts at sunset with the performances of two formations per concert. In addition, there will be four more morning concerts, for which the tickets have already been sold out. The Quartet Casals is in charge of this project the, co-organizer of the event together with L’Auditori, and receives the support of different institutions, such as the Department of Culture and the Barcelona Provincial Council.

On Thursday September 17th, you can attend the opening concert, where the Cosmos and Casals quartets will play pieces by Raquel García-Tomás, Robert Gerhard and Beethoven. On Friday September 18th, it will be the turn of the Marmen and Diotima quartets, with a program by Claude Debussy, Luis Codera Puzo and Béla Bartók. On the weekend, the Dalia and Modigliani quartets will go up to the stage on Saturday September 19th, while on the Sunday September 20th, the Artemis Quartet and the Casals Quartet will play to close the series. The concerts on Thursday and Friday are at 7:00 p.m. and those on Saturday and Sunday, at 8 p.m. The price for the tickets ranges from 20 to 32 Euros and can be acquired in the link of each concert. Check the protocol for COVID-19 to enjoy a safe evening in the Auditori.
