Poble Espanyol sings the blues on Thursday nights this summer
Blues Nights is bringing us the best Spanish bands playing outdoors for the sixth year in a row.
The sixth annual Blues Nights programme of concerts at Poble Espanyol kicked off in late June and, on most Thursday evenings in July, brought some of the most noteworthy national blues bands to the stage. Audiences got the opportunity to enjoy music by The Traitors and The Red & the Rotten, as part of the Barcelona Blues Festival, plus The Flat Pack, Wax & Boogie and Womblues. There are only three concerts left, as August and the series draw to a close. In a privileged location, with no cars and out under the open sky, you can hear everything from the most melodic blues to more danceable styles, played by bands from here at home who channel their passion to delight music-lovers of all ages.
On 15 August we’ll have a great line-up with Chino & The Big Bet and Sax Attack. Both of these groups have toured Spain and Europe with their quick-paced tunes. On Thursday 22 August, we’ll hear from The Ramblers, great lovers of classic blues. The Blues Nights concert series will come to a close on 29 August with a very special concert by Room 69, who combine blues, country and swing to draw in the audience, wherever they are playing. All of the concerts start at 9 pm at Poble Espanyol.
Tickets for residents cost €6.30 and non-residents need to buy a ticket to Poble Espanyol. You can get yours on Poble Espanyol's website.
