“Canciones de invierno” (Winter Songs), with Viggo Mortensen and Rafel Plana
As part of the series “Solos”, in which artists are invited to do whatever they like on stage, Mortensen and Plana will offer a music and spoken word recital in the Teatre Romea on the 23rd of February
Since the opening of Jauja last December, actor Viggo Mortensen has visited Barcelona for a number of reasons. First of all, to appear at promotional events for the film; secondly, to present the book Children of the Jungle, which he has recently published, in the Museu Blau, and finally, to present a one-off performance of Winter Songs in the Teatre Romea on the 23rd of February – an open performance featuring the spoken word combined with the music of Rafel Plana.
Winter Songs is part of the Teatre Romea series Solos, in which artists are given full rein to do whatever they like on the stage during sixty minutes, thereby affording the artist complete freedom to choose whether to read, recite, sing, act... While the sessions generally feature just one person, this one has been considered an exception.
The series has already seen performances by Pere Arquillué, Alberto San Juan and Lluís Soler and future participations are expected to feature the likes of Emma Vilarasau, Josep Maria Pou, Marcos Ordóñez, Nora Navas, Mario Gas, Ariadna Gil and Eduard Fernández.
