Creatibi Robotics
A new educational robotics area in Tibidabo with activities adapted to different age ranges for children.
Technology is unstoppably advancing. So much so that many ideas considered science fiction not long ago are now reality. For example, robots and artificial intelligence are now part of many of our everyday activities, no doubt more than we are even aware of. All this opens up a wide range of academic and professional careers driven by great passion for technology. In autumn, Tibidabo Amusement Park created the new Creatibi Robotics space where children can explore new vocations with a focus on fields such as robotics, programming and technology in general.
The new area allows Tibidabo to expand its offer of educational activities without leaving behind the fun and leisure of an amusement park. Creatibi Robotics currently offers six robot construction and programming activities aimed mainly at children and families. Each activity sets a goal that must be achieved using technological knowledge. There are six challenges to tackle by configuring different robots, which makes it possible to acquire new knowledge in a wide range of fields such as programming, sensors, mechanics, electronics and more broadly applicable aspects.
The robots used in the workshop take the participants on a guided tour of Barcelona, a hazardous journey through space, showing them the Collserola countryside, challenging them to escape from a maze, sumo wrestling with another robot, and designing a route for the park's train. Six examples of how robotics can make life easier and more convenient and a way of discovering a passion for this field.
