The dance talent reunites at the SAT!
The Festival Dansat 2021 will take the stage of the SAT! Sant Andreu Teatre with four different proposals.
From October 21 to the 24, the SAT! Sant Andreu Teatre will host a new edition of the Festival Dansat, a cycle that schedules several national, international, emerging and family companies each year. This way, the venue can support both young companies as well as established ones. In addition, they promote contemporary family dance to bring the performing arts closer to children and young people in a bid to normalise them as cultural options. The programme is starting on Thursday, October 21 with Silver Ballad, a premiere by the company La Súbita. This project represents a poetic journey through the bodies of different women, a tribute to those who inspire and have left a footprint on their bodies. This performance will be followed by a debate with Laura Alcalá and Emma Riba, the directors of the production, among others. On Friday, October 22, there will be another performance and debate – a session with four pieces from different companies named Alinsat 21. The participating companies are Jacob Gómez, with Un niño, Manuel Rodríguez, with Entertainment, UNAIUNA, with Goosebumps, and Kiko López, with Wiwiback.
On Saturday, October 23 will be the turn of the company Arnau Pérez with the show Young blood: matter of time. Through a mix of contemporary and urban dance, the piece highlights the new generations and their constant effort to make a place for themselves in an established society that doesn't consider them. The last session runs in charge of the company Juan Carlos Lérida and is named El monte de los olivos. Reflexión y tradición. In this project, the choreographer invites different people linked to the place where the performance takes place. On this occasion, he will be joined by the San Andreu musician Dabi Alegret, a member of the group Els Amics de les Arts. On Sunday, October 24, both will participate in a dialogue, each of them in their language.
Tickets are 15,50 euros and can be bought through this link. For more information, you can check the festival's programme.
