Fabra Observatory illuminated in the dark.

Dinner under the stars

A gastronomic and astronomical proposal to explore the universe and the Barcelona sky from the Fabra Observatory.

Enjoying a dinner illuminated by starlight in an idyllic setting is one of the most appreciated situations you can have during the summer nights. During the evenings of the coming months, the Fabra Observatory is organising a unique experience thanks to the fusion of gastronomy, astronomical observation and scientific dissemination. From 3 June to 2 October you will have the opportunity to experience the Dinner with Stars, a meeting on the border between the Collserola forest and the bustle of Barcelona's metropolis, in a space located 400 metres above the city.

The event begins with a dinner with privileged views of the panoramic view of the city, where a menu inspired by astronomy will be offered from the terrace of the Observatory. Afterwards, you will be able to enjoy a participative conference where, in addition to talking about all kinds of astronomical theories and concepts, you will have the opportunity to resolve all your doubts thanks to the professional community participating in this year's lectures.

Finally, the highlight of the evening will be the visit to the museum and other areas of the facility. During the tour, after passing through the noucentisme room, you will end up in the great dome room, which preserves original elements of the Observatory. There you will be able to use the 1904 telescope, one of the largest and oldest in Europe still in operation.

In short, a classic Barcelona summer proposal where you will combine a splendid outdoor dinner and unbeatable views of the city with the possibility of discovering and observing everything that surrounds us beyond our atmosphere as you have never done before.
