‘Du-Duà’

The Doowop Club presents 'Du-Duà'

The iconic El Molino music hall venue to host the show.

Doo-wop is a musical style that emerged from a blend of blues and the gospel in the 1950s in the streets, front porches and garages of the United States. The typical format is a group of four singers who create a melody by combining different harmonies. The genre became established and little by little was internationalised through well-known groups like Dion and the Belmonts, The Platters, The Crests and Frankie Valli & the Four Seasons. Modern-day Barcelona also has a representative of the style in the shape of Doowop Club, a group of four singers behind a new show which, with a humorous tone, tells the story of a shop selling beds that is looking for singers to put their voices to its new advertisement, which they dub Du-Duà. One of the curiosities of this production is that all of the songs are sung in the Catalan language.

Performances will be on Fridays and Saturdays from 26 October to 1 December at the iconic El Molino music hall venue.
