The Ciutat Flamenco Festival
The 27th edition of the festival will be held this October after being postponed due to the sanitary emergency.
The 2020 Ciutat Flamenco Festival will be held between the 24th and 31st of October after having been postponed since May due to the health emergency. This year, it will focus on supporting local talent and also new releases, as the vast majority of the shows in the programme are unreleased in Barcelona. During the festival you will be able to enjoy concerts, master classes and also conferences, as for the second year running, the Congress of Flamencology and Flamenco Pedagogy will also be held. The different events will take place at L'Auditori, Sala Barts, Milano Jazz Club, Auditori de Sant Martí, Can Felipa, CC Besós, Petit Palau - Palau de la Música, Taller de Músics 24, CASA SEAT.
The festival will open on the 24th of October at 9 p.m. in L'Auditori, where the presentation concert ‘Morente & Roach in memoriam’ will take place, a collaborative project between the Taller de Músics and ESMUC. Other artists, such as Chano Domínguez, Duquende, La Fabi, Alí Arango and Carles Benavent, will also be present. Chano Domínguez himself will be giving one of the master classes for piano, and you will also find singing and guitar lessons by other musicians.
