Soundit returns to Parc del Fòrum
The electronic music festival kicks off the summer season with a line-up that includes Mall Grab, KiNK, Soichi Terada, S-candalo and Fernanda Arrau.
The Soundit festival never stops. After closing the previous season in the Plaça Monumental with Special Request, Leon Vynehall, Marite and Malena, it now moves to its other stage par excellence: the Parc del Fòrum.
On 15 July, Mall Grab, KiNK, Soichi Terada, S-candalo (THC + DHC) and Fernanda Arrau will be performing at a party that will start at 6pm and won't stop until 3am.
With an endless arsenal of club weapons and tracks that pay homage to the old Three 6 Mafia mixes, Australian Jordon Alexander's (aka Mall Grab) palate has evolved into a more mature sound, which he channels through his Looking For Trouble label and parties that delight house and techno lovers.
And who also has thousands of followers on the networks and is acclaimed wherever he plays is KiNK. The Bulgarian has become one of the most sought-after producers and remixers, thanks in large part to his ability to incorporate audience input in real time at unprecedented speed. His approach overflows with house, techno and embraces broken beat and experimental electronica mixed with samples.
Barcelona will also see Soichi Terada, who has managed to make a name for his naïve and emotional sound, which harks back to the New York of the 1980s and 1990s. The Japanese DJ is also devoted to the singer Nami Shimada and is the author of some of the soundtracks for the video game series Ape Scape.
Next up will be S-candalo. That is, Tania and Dominik Humeres-Correa (THC & DHC): a German brother and sister duo with Latin American roots. Their sets are full of "obtuse melodies" and 1990s synths fused with club bangers and polyrhythmic grooves specially designed to burn up the dancefloor.
Chile's Fernanda Arrau will round off the evening, serving as an ambassador of Santiago's characteristic underground with sets filled with deep house, 80s techno, pop and Latin rhythms.
Tickets for this Soundit session cost 28 euros and can be purchased in advance at this link.
