The Flamencat concert series, in virtual format

With the performances of  Marc Suárez, Paula Domínguez, Maruja Limón and Las Noray.

You are now busy on thursdays’ evenings for the whole of June. You will be able to virtually attend the concerts of the Flamencat cycle by following Radio TeleTaxi’s YouTube channel. This is an initiative by the GuitarBcn20 that aims to introduce young flamenco talents to the local scene. The cycle was to be held in the Gardens of the Palau Robert, but the situation of confinement has led the organizers - the Palau Robert itself and GuitarBcn, with the collaboration of Radio TeleTaxi and the support of the Generalitat de Catalunya - to reconvert it into a virtual appointment.

There will be a total of four concerts starring artists who live and work in Catalonia, and who are a good example, in the words of the organization, of the "dynamic moment that the Catalan flamenco scene is going through, with emerging values that expose a singular and eclectic vision of the genre". Fusion flamenco singer and guitarist Marc Suárez will kick off the cycle on June 4th. One week later, Paula Domínguez's performance will arrive, with her style that naturally embraces pop and R&B. The third recital will be that of Maruja Limón, a female quintet that is committed to a vital music that moves between flamenco, pop and Latin rhythms. The Las Noray collective will close the cycle on June 24th, presenting a dance show and traditional sticks that check the female footprint in flamenco.

All the concerts will start at 20h and free to everyone. More information here.
