Freestyle devil makes it to Razzmatazz
Foyone lands in Barcelona with Demoni Tour, the presentation tour of his new studio album.
A cutting-edge work based on complex sounds. Foyone's latest release, Demoni, is presented as a revolutionary act, a conceptual work with which the Malagasy rapper seeks to exorcise the conventions of the urban scene. Razzmatazz opens its doors on 1 February to welcome the artist and his rhymes, which escape from fast-food music.
After years without publishing, Pedro Armando Navarro returns to the stage to present Demoni, an album that symbolises the flagrant desperation that accompanies the ritualisation of success. Through experimentation with jazzy structures and samples that recall a religious imaginary, Foyone presents an epic adventure in 15 tracks where the hero passes through hell and tries to transcend becoming a good man, all the while fighting his own demons.
In this way, Demoni is proposed as an album that reflects on personal evolution in a contemporary world with a narrative discourse that puts the critical eye on the most consumerist aspect of society. Beginning with Bucle and ending with Omnipresente, the rapper's new study album goes through three musical blocks that explore the process of self-knowledge, from total innocence to the transformation that comes with the maturing of the mind.
The Malaga-born musician thus steps out of his comfort zone in a challenging work that has involved the participation of artists such as Amber Window, Carlos Martín, Ale Acosta of Fuel Fandango, Moneo and Manu Flores in the creation of its complex sound. Demoni is the artist's autobiographical work that expresses, with a brutal eclecticism, his constant struggle against the materialism so associated with urban music.
An exercise in self-improvement by the rapper who began publishing the most viral freestyles on the internet and who will be on stage at Razzmatazz on 1 February to present Demoni. You'll find more information and tickets on the venue's website.
