The Atomic Leopards in action

Rockabilly and blues among the paintings at MEAM

The museum will host a concert by Atomic Leopards on Friday 31 August.

Barcelona's European Museum of Modern Art (MEAM) hosts regular Friday evening concerts called Friday's Blues which, despite the name, also feature groups playing in styles like swing, jazz and rockabilly. The band scheduled to perform on the last day of August is Atomic Leopards, featuring Santi Lluch on guitar and vocals, David Lluch on bass and Peter Braieater on drums.

Atomic Leopards have already practically become a classic in MEAM's summer music programme, lending their personal touch to rockabilly, blues, country and swing and even incorporating gypsy swing and tango on their latest album. The band includes people who have played in groups like Los Rebeldes, Sigue Sigue Sputnik and Polecats.

The concert will begin at 6pm, and the same ticket is valid for visiting the museum's extensive collection of contemporary figurative art. Additional information is available at the following link.
