Friska Viljor bring their particular brand of elation to the Music Hall

The Swedish band presents "Remember Our Name" on the 19th of April

Very often the idea of just helping people to have a good time and getting them to dance is frowned upon among pop-rock bands and the tendency is to place more merit on proposals where originality, personality and risk-taking are more prevalent. The truth is, though, that creating euphoria is not easy and not everyone is capable of it, and this is precisely where Swedish band Friska Viljor are a winning hand.

Formed in Stockholm in 2005 by Daniel Johansson and Joakim Sveningsson, the band has released five albums, the last of which, Remember Our Name, is the reason for the tour which brings them to the Music Hall on the Rambla de Catalunya on the 19th of April. Based on the incandescent, festive style of folk-pop that characterises the band, the latest release from Friska Viljor includes what is probably their most energetic, danceable collection of songs, a collection which, on occasion, even makes room for electronic rhythm bases. In short, an addition to their repertoire which will undoubtedly lead to an optimistic, upbeat performance. As they themselves say, “If anyone comes along feeling sad, we want them to go away feeling better”.
