It was born with the new century, and since 2004 it has been surprising and making the Teatreneu audience laugh with its witty improvisations. We are talking about Planeta Impro, the company created and directed by Jose L. Adserías dedicated to the constant research of the theatrical improvisation technique, a research that has allowed him to grow until he found his own language, capable of combining spontaneity and humour with stories full of life and emotions. In this way, he turns the art of living in the moment into entertainment.
The company, which in its two decades of existence has premiered a dozen shows, has given seven thousand performances and has made more than two and a half million spectators laugh and actively participate in the show, figures that make it a world leader. It can also boast of being a pioneer of improvisation in Catalonia, and offers a different and unique show every night. Because, despite the fact that many of its audiences are repeaters - some have made the Impro Show a regular event at the Teatreneu - its contributions are always different: this is the essence and the meaning of improvisation, suggesting ideas, phrases and situations that challenge the imagination and the good work of actors and actresses.
