Guided tours of Casa Lleó i Morera

The rooms of the main floor have been open to visitors since the 20th of January

Visits to Casa Lleó i Morera are available as of this week following an extensive period of restoration. The emblematic building, the work of Lluís Domènech i Montaner, is located on the corner of Passeig de Gràcia and Calle Consell de Cent, and is one of the three projects by the renowned architects Gaudí, Puig i Cadafalch, and Domènech i Montaner, that are included in what is known as the “Mansana de la Discòrdia” along with Casa Batlló and Casa Amatller (Mansana refers to a city block, i.e. “The Block of Discord). Casa Amatller will open its doors to the public on the 9th of February and visitors will be able to see the results of the restoration and refurbishment of the main floor.

Guided tours of Casa Lleó i Morera take approximately fifty minutes and are available from Monday to Saturday in Catalan, Spanish or English. Private group visits are also available on prior reservation. The guides are qualified specialists in art and history and offer detailed information on the Lleó i Morera family, the intervention of the architect and the history of the house following its termination in 1905. The tour includes the main floor of the house where the works of the artists and craftsmen involved in the decoration have been painstakingly preserved and restored: ceramics, glassware, mosaics, sculptures, panelling, etc.
