Halloween Arrives at Poble Espanyol

The Creepy Family activity takes place on weekends at the Montjuïc site and invites families to solve a series of mysteries.

Traditions must be kept alive, so on All Saints' Day, you have to eat "panellets" (traditional Catalan sweet) and roast chestnuts. But why not also enjoy more recent traditions, even if you come from another country? That's the question they've asked at Poble Espanyol, where they've decided to celebrate Halloween every weekend between October 21 and November 12.

They do this with the family activity Creepy Family, the new Halloween celebration at Poble Espanyol that combines terror and fun all at once. The main characters are the inhabitants of the site that you'll visit, who, as every year, have prepared a good number of dishes made from the season's star product: pumpkins.

But this year, everything will be different because one of the worst Witches has decided to poison all the pumpkins. Beware of anyone who eats even a bit of these pumpkins! They will be cursed!

You've been warned about the situation, so be careful about what you eat while you take the tour proposed at Poble Espanyol as part of Creepy Family. You'll walk for about one to one and a half hours and you'll encounter nearly thirty characters, residents of Poble Espanyol, who will offer you a series of tests as terrifying as they are fun.

Don't leave just yet because you still need to visit the two haunted houses that you'll find within the Poble Espanyol site these days. A large amount of mystery and quite a few scares await you inside. What can you do to free the site from the Halloween curse? They'll tell you when you come to participate in the Creepy Family activity. Before you come, however, check the Poble Espanyol website for all the information.
