The images of the confinement
The Parc de la Ciutadella is the stage for about fifty photos taken during the confinement that have been collected by the PHoto España Photography Festival.
These last few months have been a challenge for everyone and the photographs can show many of the emotions that have been experienced during this time. The PHoto España Photography Festival called out on social networks for citizens to send their images of the confinement and, of the more than 1,748 they received from Barcelona, they have made an exhibition with about fifty of them. With the collaboration of the Barcelona City Council, the PHoto España festival has compiled a collection of photographs from the balconies and windows as a tribute to the citizens, the effort they have made to remain enclosed and the social commitment they have shown, and will be exhibited outside the Parc de la Ciutadella for everyone to see.
You will be able to see moments that, unfortunately, are already as familiar to all of us as the applause at eight o'clock in the evening, the video calls with family and friends or the activities of all kinds that have taken place on the balconies. A stage that has brought us all new ways of relating, also due to the social distancing in the streets and the wearing of masks.
You can see the images of PHoto España until August 31st. All these photographs are on display at the outer gate of the Parc de la Ciutadella, in Paseo de Pujades.
