Jamie Cullum, in the Poble Espanyol

The British singer and pianist returns to Barcelona on the 3rd of July

At this stage Jamie Cullum is practically a fixture on the Barcelona stages and it would appear that the idyll between the artist and our city is stronger than ever. Las November he sold out the BARTS in under three hours and those lucky enough to get tickets left the show with smiles from ear to ear. This time, on the 3rd of July, those who were not fortunate enough to see the charismatic pianist on his last visit cannot miss out on the chance to see him perform in a larger but no less charming venue such as is the Plaza Mayor of Poble Espanyol.

Doubtless Callum will once again display both his talent for walking in the footsteps of classic artists such as Cole Porter, and many other giants from the Golden Age of Jazz, as well as his gift for contemporary pop, accompanied by a sparkling line-up that infuses their interpretations with equal doses of modernity with tradition. Callum has proven himself in previous performances and proves himself again in his latest release, Momentum (2013) as he proved himself in Twentysomething, the record that made him an international star ten years ago. While there are no signs that his performances are about to lose any of their intensity, surely it’s better to enjoy them here and now.

The concert on the 3rd of July in Poble Espanyol will begin at 9 pm and tickets are now on sale beginning at 38 euros.
