How did Joan Miró create his art?

Join us for various sessions of the PA (Artist's Proof) activity at the Fundació Miró, designed for families.

Are you interested in understanding Joan Miró's creative process? Then, you shouldn't miss the PA (Artist's Proof) activity, a part of the extensive programme at the Fundació Miró for families. This programme offers various experiences to help you connect with the artist's persona. In this particular activity, you can explore Miró's process with your children, within the privileged setting of architect Josep Lluís Sert's building, housing the art collection.

During the interactive tour of the exhibition rooms, children can experiment with various techniques such as drawing, collage, ink, and object play. Their explorations with drawings and sketches will be compiled in a workbook, mirroring Miró's method, and will later serve as a springboard for new creations. This activity not only allows the youngest family members to connect directly with Miró's persona by understanding his work processes but also encourages them to develop their creativity through observation and experimentation with different techniques, fostering shared learning with other children.

The activity lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes and is recommended for children aged 6 to 10. Sessions are available in Catalan and Spanish. The Catalan sessions will be held on the 9th and 20th of August, and the 17th of September at 11 a.m., while the Spanish sessions will be on the 6th and 23rd of August, and the 3rd of September at the same time. The entrance fee is €7 per person, €6 with a family card, and €4 for Friends of the Fundació. If you're interested in learning more and experiencing Miró's creative process methodology first-hand, don't hesitate to purchase tickets on the Fundació Miró website.
