El llegat de Sherlock Holmes us espera a la Biblioteca Arús

The Legacy of Sherlock Holmes Awaits You at the Arús Library

This September, Cases Singulars organizes guided tours of the Joan Proubasta Collection, a unique immersion into the universe of literature’s most famous detective.

With the return to routine, Barcelona offers a very special proposal to approach September with curiosity and mystery: guided tours of the Joan Proubasta Collection of Sherlock Holmes, organized by Cases Singulars at the Arús Public Library.

These sessions, to tackle September Tuesdays with energy, allow visitors to discover one of the most fascinating collections dedicated to Sherlock Holmes, one of literature’s most celebrated detectives. Created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle at the end of the 19th century, Holmes is a symbol of deduction, logic, and mystery, and has left an indelible mark both in narrative and popular culture.

The collection, donated by Joan Proubasta in 2011, brings together a wide variety of materials related to Holmes and his universe, such as books, magazines, comics, films, posters, figurines, and curiosities that fascinate everyone. It is located on the third floor of the Arús Library and, although it is not available for regular consultation, it can be visited exclusively through these guided tours.

The upcoming sessions will take place on Tuesdays, September 2, 9, 16, and 23, with alternating tours in Catalan and Spanish starting at 7:00 p.m. The activity does not include a full visit of the library, but offers a unique immersion in Holmesian imagination and in the most passionate collecting. A very singular proposal to begin September with culture, mystery, and a bit of deduction. Spots are limited and can be reserved through the Arús Public Library website.
