Making classroom work visible

The Liceu Jove cycle is back, an opportunity for the students of the Higher Center to take to the stage to present their music.

A concert on 14 December by the Liceu Conservatory Symphonic Band will open this year's Liceu Jove cycle, an initiative that challenges the students of the Conservatori Liceu Foundation's Higher Center to demonstrate on stage, in conditions close to those of professional practice, what they learn in the classroom. For those attending the recitals, it is a great opportunity to get to know this learning space, discover new talents and enjoy a wide variety of proposals: solo performances, chamber music groups, numerous combos and large instrumental and vocal ensembles of classical music, jazz and modern music.

Until June 2023, you can enjoy the Classic Orchestra, Small Ensembles with the Conservatori Liceu Guitars Orchestra, the Flute Ensemble, the Lyric Scenes with the students of the Singing Department accompanied by the Conservatori Liceu Orchestra, the Saxophone Ensemble, the Chamber Choir and the Girls Choir, the Ensemble Liceu XXI, or groups such as the Liceu BLAM Collective, the Liceu Big Band and the Liceu Gran Ensemble. Recitals such as Pianíssim and ConTrastes will be devoted to solo performances. Ralph Vaughan Williams, Ferran Reig, Laura Rodríguez, Somayed Heidarvand, Manuel Palacín and Wolfang Amadeus Mozart are just some of the composers who will be performed during these months – all at the Conservatori Liceu Auditorium, in the heart of the Raval.
