Objects are the protagonists of M.A.R.

Objects for reflecting on space and its meaning

This piece of theatre around objects takes us into the life of a house with a century of history to tell us about ourselves and our home.

Andrea Díaz Reboredo is a stage director, set designer, visual artist and performer of shows she has created herself, which delve into the concept of the image as a tool for knowledge and social memory. Now she offers us M.A.R. Un discurso plástico a través del espacio, with the collaboration of Xavier Bobés Solà (director of the company PLAYGROUND, manipulator and scenic creator) and the cellist Dani León on stage, who signs the original music.

M.A.R. explores the manipulation of small junk through the choreographic work of the body of the protagonist and narrator, who takes us on a journey through everyday objects and tells us the story of a home. "Architecture is the stage of life. Each culture creates its own space and the changes caused in it shape its own culture", the artist reflects on the meaning of the spaces and objects that surround us. The objects that are the protagonists of the 60-minute show have been designed and constructed, together with Andrea herself, by Pablo Reboredo, using materials such as wood, paper and photographs.

The show can be seen at La Sagrera "La Barraca" Civic Centre on 28 April at 6 p.m., as part of the Barcelona Cultural District programme, the cultural circuit in the neighbourhoods of all the districts of Barcelona. Admission is free, but advance booking is required and the show is already sold out. However, on the same booking link, there is the possibility of joining the waiting list.
