The Moscow Ballet, in the Teatre Tívoli

The prestigious Russian company will perform “Swan Lake” from the 7th to the 11th of May, and “The Nutcracker”, from the 14th to the 18th

The Moscow Ballet, the prestigious Russian dance company founded in 1989 by Timar Fayziev, returns to Barcelona to stage two of romantic ballet’s most significant and representative pieces, Swan Lake and The Nutcracker, both the work of Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky, in the Teatre Tívoli. The first piece is one of the most frequently performed pieces in the history of dance and can be seen from the 7th to the 11th of May, while the second, also much esteemed and highly popular, can be seen from the 14th to the 18th.

The Moscow Ballet, who perform in Barcelona every season, have been touring virtually uninterruptedly for the past twenty-five years and have always managed to captivate the city’s audiences with emotive and spectacular mise-en-scènes and a purity of technique particular to the Russian school. Since its foundation, the Moscow Ballet has attempted to disseminate and transmit passion for the world of ballet throughout the world with innovative productions year after year.
