All the musicians from Jarabe de Palo in a charity concert
The band headed up by Pau Donés is bringing together the 19 musicians that have formed part of it over the last 23 years.
The group from Aragon, Jarabe de Palo, is a mythical name on the Spanish rock scene. For many years, it’s been headed up by Pau Donés and has got its melodies out to millions of people with song such as “La flaca”, “Bonito” and “Depende”. Jarabe de Palo has included many musicians who have put their talent into their albums and tours all around the world and this December, all 19 of them will join up again for a good cause. “Jarabe y sus músicos contra el cáncer” (Jarabe and its musicians against cancer) is the name they’ve chosen for the show and they’ll be raising funds for the Vall d’Hebron Cancer Institute (VHIO). Even though the group is currently on hiatus since Pau Donés is still spending his time fighting against his own cancer, they’ll be hitting the stage for two sessions on the same day to get the audience bouncing up and down with their best-loved songs from their back catalogue.
“Jarabe y sus músicos contra el cáncer” will be on 23 December at 7 pm and 9:30 pm in Luz de Gas. So, it won't just be a charity concert but also a unique and very special occasion for all the group’s fans, who’ll get the chance to see all of the musicians who have been in the band at some point over the last 23 years and who they hadn't seen for some time.
Tickets for each session will cost €55. You can get yours on the Luz de Gas website.
