Nada Surf celebrates more than thirty years of musical connection in Barcelona
The alternative rock band presents their new album ‘Moon Mirror’ at Razzmatazz, with a show full of nostalgia and emotion.
Nada Surf, the masters of alternative rock, return to Barcelona to present their latest studio album, Moon Mirror. After four years with no new albums, the most popular band of the institute is coming to Razzmatazz to celebrate a career of more than thirty years on the stage.
They have already played in Madrid, Bilbao and Saragossa, delighting their most ardent fans with their performance of songs that made them great, such as Popular from their contradictory High/Low. But now it's Nada Surf's turn in Barcelona with a tour in which Dani Lorca, Matthew Caws, Ira Elliot and Louie Lino present a show full of emotion. With songs as new as In Front Of Me Now, the intimate Second Skin and the eponymous Moon Mirror, the group returns to talk about human connection and the inconsistency of living in a frenetic world.
Moon Mirror is an album that sounds of reunion, of nostalgia, between crystalline melodies and guitar lines that point towards power-pop. A work without incongruities that uses deep lyrics and an indie pop sound to transmit a sort of happy bitterness that connects with the records of that group that began to emerge at the beginning of the 90s.
Nada Surf is one of those groups that know how to connect with emotions and that already have such big hits as Jules and Jim, a song that emphasises how the lives of individuals intertwine, the taking of decisions and the consequences that derive from them. Rushing is situated on the other side of the emotional spectrum, but it is once again an example of the band's great capacity to establish an unequivocal link with the most human experiences, talking about how being at someone's side, or not being there, can change everything.
Nada Surf brings you an experience where music and emotion connect to celebrate a career of more than thirty years on stage. Did you miss it? You'll find more information and tickets on the Razzmatazz website.
