The 4th edition of the Ohlalà!, Barcelona's French-speaking cinema festival, is here. The festival will run in two formats: one part will be in-person, held at the Institut Français from September 30 to October 6, while the other part will be online, through Filmin, from October 1 to 10. In this edition, there will be a total of 10 French-speaking feature films from France, Belgium, Canada and Senegal, most of them with the seal of the Official Selection of Cannes 2020. Isabel Coixet is the guest director of this edition, and to introduce herself, she has chosen the movie Paris je t'aime (02/09), a mosaic of stories from the love city directed by twenty directors. The festival will open with Indes Galantes, a movie starring Philippe Bézait's dance and music, on Thursday, 30 September at the Institut Français.

The other movies featured in this edition are Ouistreham (01/10) by Emmanuel Carrère, Médecin de nuit (01/10) by Elie Wajeman, Gagarine (02/10) by Fanny Liatard and Jérémy Trouilh, Si le vent tombe (03/10) by Nora Martirosyan, Slalom (03/10) by Charlène Favier, Le père de Nafi (04/10) by Mamadou Dia, Rouge (04/10) by Farid Bentoumi, La deese des mouches a feu (05/10) by Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette and 5ème set (06/10) by Quentin Reynaud. For the first time this year, Ohlalà! is collaborating with the FILMETS Badalona Film Fest, and, before the sessions, they will screen a selection of French-speaking short films that formed part of the FILMETS 2020 programme.

Tickets for the screenings are 7 euros, and you can buy them through this link. Movies rented through Filmin are 3.95, but the Ohlalà! is offering different options. Find out more here.
