A palaeontological adventure in the age of dinosaurs

If you are fascinated and marvelled by the world of dinosaurs, but would like to solve questions related to their existence, you can't miss the Jurassic Camp activity, organised by the CosmoCaixa Science Museum, in which you will become palaeontologists for a day. Get ready for a fascinating journey back in time. 

Surely you have wondered at some point how it was possible to learn about the characteristics of dinosaurs and discover the environment in which they lived. These are some of the tasks of palaeontologists, who investigate living beings that no longer exist and, therefore, have to deduce what happened in the past by means of a minute work of observation, comparison and classification, among other methods. 

Would you like to venture into this fascinating activity? Then don't hesitate to take part in the palaeontology workshop where you will have the opportunity to reconstruct a dinosaur and the environment in which it lived from fossilised parts, remains of its biological activity and other organisms, among other things. 

This workshop is part of the exhibition Dinosaurs of Patagonia, organised by the Egidio Feruglio Palaeontological Museum (MEF) in Trelew, Argentina. This, however, is not just another dinosaur exhibition, but an immersion in palaeontological work. Furthermore, the exhibition presents replicas of the skeletons of the most important dinosaurs found in Patagonia, as well as original fossils. 

Take the opportunity to become detectives of the past and explore the fascinating world of dinosaurs, thanks to the Jurassic Camp palaeontology workshop. This activity is recommended for children over 8 years old and children under 14 years old must be accompanied by an adult. The activity takes place from 13 January to 17 March, weekends and holidays at 12 noon (in Catalan) and 5 pm (in Spanish).
