Palo Alto Welcomes 2026 with a Daytime Dance Floor

The Poblenou venue kicks off the year with a new edition of Palo Market Fest on the weekend of 10 and 11 January, guaranteed to get everyone dancing.

The year begins at the Palo Alto venue in Poblenou with a very special first Palo Market Fest of 2026. This time, the Glove Party collective—whose events are organised, among others, by well-known cultural agitator and musician Josep Xortó—join the celebration with a tempting proposal: dancing to great DJs in broad daylight. On 10 and 11 January, they’ll be waiting for you at Palo Market Fest.

This monthly event brings together a wide range of food vendors, artists and craftspeople, creating a market that includes independent fashion stalls, areas to relax with a drink, the occasional exhibition in the Escoleta warehouse (the most recent one was dedicated to art made with skateboard decks), and, above all, live music offerings.

Now Palo Market Fest welcomes 2026 accompanied by the DJs from Glove Party. Come along on Saturday, for example, and you’ll start the day with what they call Morning Glory: a morning of dancing… with a good coffee in hand. The idea is to turn the space into a daytime dance floor—so get those hips moving.

If you’re planning to attend, buy your ticket online, as tickets will only be sold at the door if there is remaining capacity. If you’re coming with children under 12, or with people with reduced mobility or disabilities, admission is free provided you email entradas@palomarketfest.com in advance. With proof of disability, they will send a ticket for the person concerned and one companion.

This is an open-air venue, so as long as they behave properly, you’re welcome to bring your pets, who are just as welcome here as the rest of the beings—plant, animal and human—you’ll find throughout the space.

If you want to welcome 2026 by dancing in daylight, enjoying music and exploring a market in a small green oasis in Barcelona, don’t miss Palo Market Fest on 10 and 11 January. Before you go, be sure to check the Instagram account for full details of the activities.
